Checking out breeders is crucial when buying any pup, but even more so if you chose a purebred. Do your homework on both the breed you are looking at as well as the breeder. You will not be able to recognize genetic flaws unless you have seen a good representation of the breed. Not all pups will be show dogs, but all should look like the breed they are labeled.
